How to Approve Your Proof
Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 6:46AM
In today's post, we are going to explore how to approve a proof on-line. In theory it's simple but there are a lot of details that need to addressed on every job. I'm assuming that you all can login and look at your orders. If you do not know how to log on to our website, please refer to the post HOW TO LOG ON.
When you are on the view orders screen, you should see "WAITING FOR APPROVAL" in your artwork column.
If you see "WAITING FOR APPROVAL" simply click on the camera icon to display the proof for each job.
The next page is an overall layout and information about your job. To continue click on the "VIEW PROOF" button to display all the details of your proof.
This is the page where all the magic happens. You can see all the details about your order in this window.
In the details box we need to first look at the print location.

Next we need to make sure the size is correct. DO NOT assume, solely by the way the proof looks, that the artwork sizing is correct.
"Dimensions from Garment" is used when a customer would like the logo to be in an exact location on every shirt. This might say something like "3 inches down from the bottom on the collar".

Check the garment color.

Next you need to look at all your ink colors. If you sent a PO over that said 1 color and you see 2 colors here on your proof, do not approve it unless you are agreeing to pay for the second color. What you approve, and subsequently what we print, is what we are going to bill you for. Also, check all your colors with a PMS book. Do not judge your colors just by the monitor. As we all learned in a previous post, that does not work.

After you have reviewed all the information, either approve or decline the proof by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the page.
If you approve the proof just put in your initials and you are done. A screen will then pop up after you approve it saying Thank You! Aren't computers nice?

If you decline the proof a new box will open. In this box please list all the reason why the job is declined. DO NOT EMAIL OR CALL us with revisions. All revisions must be in writing via the website. If we have questions about your changes, we'll give you a call.

It's as easy as pie. You are done and everyone is happy! As always, give us a call if you have any questions.
Thanks For the Work!
